Elon, ISP Announce Extended Agreement

06.17.10

ELON, NC – Elon Athletics and ISP Sports, the country’s premier collegiate sports marketing company, have announced a new agreement which guarantees ISP’s role as Elon’s corporate marketing and sales representative for the next five years (through May 2015).

ISP initially acquired the multimedia rights to Phoenix sports in April 2008 from Action Sports Media and has substantially grown revenues for corporate sponsorships affiliated with Elon Athletics during the past 24 months.

“We are excited to continue the relationship between the Elon University Department of Athletics and ISP,” Elon Director of Athletics Dave Blank said.  “Having worked with ISP for the past two years, we are very confident that this partnership will continue to be a very positive one for all of Elon’s community and corporate partners, and we are equally positive that ISP is a great partner for our athletics department.”

With the partnership, ISP sells and manages the rights to all sales and marketing opportunities associated with the Phoenix, including live radio play by play broadcasts, advertising in various athletic department publications and on the official athletic website (ElonPhoenix.com), and all signage in university athletic facilities.

“ISP is delighted to extend its relationship with Elon Athletics,” Ben Sutton, ISP Chairman and CEO, said.  “We are confident that we can continue to build on the success we have enjoyed in working with Dave and his staff and appreciate the confidence they have in us as evidenced by this new agreement.”

Based in Winston-Salem, NC, ISP is the sales and marketing partner for more than 60 universities, conferences, bowl games and venues across the country.  Other prominent North Carolina-based universities aligned with ISP are Appalachian State, Duke, East Carolina and Wake Forest.
