12.21.09
This new deal involves renegotiation of the final two years of an existing agreement, the addition of six additional years to the existing deal and lastly provides ISP an additional two years (through 2019) provided certain incentives are reached. The MAC became ISP’s first major conference client in April 2006 as part of the original five-year partnership.
“I am pleased that we have been able to negotiate an agreement that provides a significant increase in guaranteed revenue from our existing deal,” said Dr. Jon Steinbrecher, commissioner of the Mid-American Conference. “ISP has been a very good partner and I look forward to working with them as we seek to bring increased value to our corporate partners and to the Mid-American Conference membership.”
Under terms of the agreement, ISP will be responsible for managing the league’s corporate partner program utilizing a wide range of multimedia assets, including live football and basketball TV and radio broadcasts, along with signage and on-site marketing opportunities at MAC Championships. Additional sponsorships will also be available in conjunction with digital content on the conference’s official website, www.MAC-Sports.com.
“We are very excited to extend our relationship with the Mid-American Conference and greatly appreciate the confidence shown in our company by Dr. Jon Steinbrecher and his leadership team,” Ben Sutton, Chairman and CEO of ISP, said. “The institutions of the MAC truly represent the finest in higher education and intercollegiate athletics and ISP is delighted to be associated with them in this manner, as well as in our partnerships with a number of the league’s member universities.”
